PHDinc.com in 1999

On June 8, 1995, PHDinc.com was created. This site was initially created to replace a BBS (Bulletin Board System) which allowed users to download static CAD drawings and other miscellaneous items. This website also provided a new avenue to market PHD products.

For those old enough to know what a BBS was, they can appreciate how things have changed in getting a CAD drawing. Back in those days, the only way to get a CAD drawing was to draw it yourself, request a floppy disc, or download it from PHD’s BBS as a two-dimensional DWG or IGES file. Initially, these electronic CAD drawings were drawn at zero stroke and no options. Users had to stretch the model, rotate the ports, and add any options or accessories.

PHD has come along way since PHDinc.com first came online. Today, users visiting the PHD website can benefit from the following:

- Learn about PHD products
- Learn about industries PHD serves
Size products (based on weight, speed, and other application parameters)
Configure products for accurate ordering data (will not allow a wrong part number)
Download CAD models in the most popular formats of the exact unit interested in
- View/download catalogs
- View replacement parts
- Learn about products and application examples with videos and animations
- Locate a distributor
- Request application assistance
Live chat with a customer service specialist

PHD continues to lead the industry with website resources and Etools that help customers and distributors easily and quickly find information about products. We welcome comments or suggestions about PHDinc.com so we can continue to improve.
