Current Update -
File Size - 7.77 MB
Version 9.6 - 5/11/2007
- SFM series slides: Fixed a problem where an insufficient shock absorber was
creating a "red light" condition, but the status message was still "Chosen
Slide Valid for Given Application".
- STP series slides: Application now uses impact velocity instead of average
velocity when checking the kinetic energy curves.
- SK/SL series slides: Put max./min. limits on input for travel. Also, fixed
an issue where a "red light" condition was being generated because of energy
per hour for a shock absorber, even though cushions could be used and a shock
absorber would not be needed.
Version 9.5 - 4/2/2007
- Changed design numbers of SK/SL, SCV, and SG slides:
- - SK/SL from 7 to 8
- - SCV from 1 and 5 to 2 and 6, respectively
- - SG from 2 and 6 to 4 and 8, respectively
Version 9.4 - 2/23/2007
- Fixed a problem with SFP slide vertical application (sometimes had a "pow domain" error).
- Fixed SD/SE and SK/SL slide sizing problem with calculating energy per hour, which was affecting shock absorber sizing.
- Changed SFP sizing to reflect numerous improvements (see catalog for details).
- Fixed SD/SE Total Energy per hour check (was incorrectly using 60,000 in-lb/hr instead of 600,000).
- Added new SFM series slide sizing, combining it with the SFP sizing.
Version 9.3 - 7/25/2006
- Fixed problem with RLS Rotary: RLS rotaries were being dropped from selection list when non-standard rotations were set below 90 degrees.
- Removed SJP slide series.
- Removed Number of Gear Racks from Rotary Details form.
- Made some minor modifications to the maximum KE values for RI Rotaries.
Version 9.2 - 4/4/2006
- Corrected units types on Breakaway Pressure and working Pressure for SCV slide. Previously were incorrectly using length units.
- Added "x" placeholder in shock numbers for STP slides.
Version 9.1 - 2/10/2006
- SFP slide sizing now recommends a shock absorber even if one is not required.
- Added Push Down and Pull Down options to SxL/SxH slides.
- Fixed Resolution Issues
Version 9.0 - 11/28/2005
- Removed Multimotions and Electrics. PHD is no longer supporting the sizing software for these product lines.
- Simplified installation process: No longer requires an OCX control to be registered.
- Changed SCV slides to use impact velocity instead of average velocity in stopping capacity calculations.
- Fixed SM slides: size 08 and 12 do not allow Ball Bushing.
- Various minor cosmetic fixes.
Version 8.0.13 - 9/29/2005
- Rotaries: Fixed spelling error ("cushions").
- Grippers: Fixed bug where Series names were showing up in list even if there were no valid units for that Series.
- Slides: Changed SD/SE and SK/SL slides to use impact velocity instead of average velocity in stopping capacity calculations.
Version 8.0.12 - 6/3/2005
- Added new GRR gripper sizes (150, 200, 250, 350).
- Fixed problem in SHP/SIP/SJP slide sizing where Application Type would be set incorrectly to Horizontal Pitch after hitting Reset button.
Version 8.0.11 - 1/27/2005
- Fixed bug with Grippers (not all GRD jaw travels had been corrected)
- Rotaries diagram now shows application orientation (vertical/horizontal)
Version 8.0.10 - 1/18/2005
- Added bore size 25 to SAL/SAH slides; fixed printing problem
- GRD size 5 and 6 jaw travel corrected
- Fixed incorrect shock absorber number in SFP
- Gripper 15390 weight corrected
Version 8.0.9 - 11/24/2004
- Removed Multimotion series MLS.
- Rotary sizing updates: 1000-8000 series Tandems now check for maximum rotation velocity; all units now respond correctly to the "two-position/multi-position" buttons (user input); all units now are limited by their maximum pressure ratings; added a dynamic diagram that shows the orientation of the application; found/fixed a few minor bugs related to state saving/loading on startup/shutdown.
- Added functions to the Rotary sizing for 1000-8000 series to calculate unit weights based on rotation angle (this was previously a static table lookup).
- Updates to the Gripper data tables (for the GRF). Added new derating functions for new GRF grippers.
- Fixed several sizing problems - in SD/SE: pressure and breakaway pressure were labled incorrectly as length units. In SG/SGxM slides, fixed a problem in calculating maximum life expectancy (1000 vs. 100 million inches of travel).
- Refactored the SAL/SAH sizing code - have made some minor changes to it in order to support the additional sizes (there was some "hard-coding" of values that will now need to be more dynamic). All fixes have been made; English, German, and Spanish versions have been built and put on the web.
- Added new RCC Rotaries.
- Added new SAL/SAH bore size (25).
- Rotary shock absorbers upgrade sizing changes.
- Enhanced the way Rotary sizing works - the sizing software never took into account deceleration limits like in the catalog, and these limits have changed.
- Rotary sizing: Fixed problem with shock pad vs. shock cycle times on the RIs.
- Updated installer to make sizing standalone (no longer integrated in Designer's Resource interface). New default shortcut in Phdinc -> Designer's Resource -> Engineering Tools.
